Edo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to unite for the greater good of Edo. Speaking at a New Year gathering for Edo South APC leaders at the New Festival Hall, Government House, Benin City, Idahosa praised the party’s collaboration in securing victory in the September 21 governorship election and stressed the need for continued unity to support Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration.
Idahosa acknowledged the presence of divisions within the party but urged aggrieved members to reconcile and work together to enhance the state’s progress. He emphasized that unity, particularly in the seven Local Government Areas of Edo South, is crucial for building a stronger party and delivering development to the people.
Former Deputy Governor Lucky Imasuen and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a former governorship candidate, also called for unity. Ize-Iyamu stated that the party would no longer tolerate those causing disunity, urging members to focus on supporting Governor Okpebholo to fulfill his promises and deliver good governance to Edo State.
