Prominent personalities from across Nigeria on Friday converged on Katsina State for the Wedding Fatiha of Ahmed Sharafadeen Sanusi, son of the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi.
The solemnisation, held at about 10:00 a.m. at the GRA Central Mosque, Katsina, attracted family members, friends, traditional rulers, religious leaders, senior government officials, security chiefs, police officers and well-wishers, who gathered to celebrate with the Sanusi family.
Conducted in accordance with Islamic rites, the Wedding Fatiha featured special prayers by Islamic clerics for a peaceful, prosperous and blessed union for the newlyweds. Prayers were also offered for sustained peace, unity, security and progress in Nigeria.
Speaking after the ceremony, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi expressed heartfelt appreciation to the distinguished guests, family members, friends and well-wishers for honouring the occasion with their presence, prayers, goodwill messages and unwavering support.
The FCT Police Commissioner prayed that Almighty Allah would abundantly reward everyone for their kindness and grant all attendees safe journeys back to their respective destinations.
In a goodwill message, the FCT Police Command congratulated the newly married couple and wished them a lifetime of love, mutual understanding, happiness and Allah’s enduring blessings as they begin their marital journey together.
