EID-EL-KABIR: Niger SSG felicitates with Muslims, calls for fervent prayers,compliance with COVID-19 protocols

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane has enjoined Muslims to always remain steadfast and imbibe the culture of honesty and peaceful coexistence.
The SSG who disclosed this in his message to commemorate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir on behalf of the Government and people of the State further implored Nigerlites to use the occasion to pray fervently for peace, unity and security of lives and property.
Ahmed Matane admonished Muslims faithful to use the teachings of Eid-el-Kabir to promote love, harmony and live peacefully with one another irrespective of religious, political or tribal affiliation.
He said the present administration led by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello is committed to the development of the State using available resources for the benefit of the people, hence the need for Nigerlites to support the laudable programmes and policies of Government designed to better the living standard of the populace.
The SSG who is also the Chairman, Niger State Task Force on COVID-19 Pandemic urged the residents to adhere strictly to COVID-19 safety protocols which include avoiding non-essential travel, wearing facemasks in public, maintaining physical distancing, regular washing of hands with soap, regular use of hand sanitizers as well as avoiding large gatherings.
The Chairman of the Task Force stressed that the pandemic has posed not only enormous health concerns but has put a heavy strain on the economy around the world, therefore the general public should intensify effort towards putting an end to the challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic by complying with the laid down guidelines.
