The family of the late Supreme Head of Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Nigeria, Joseph Olusegun Sonde, has announced the burial ceremony of General Reverend Apostle Mother, Rebecca Titilayo Sonde, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 81 after a brief illness.
In a statement released on Thursday, signed by Sonde Oluwaseun on behalf of the family, the children disclosed that after consultations, April 24 and 25, 2025, have been fixed to give their beloved mother a befitting burial in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Titilayo Sonde (née Ilori) was a devoted Christian, a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and a woman of remarkable virtues whose unwavering love for her family and service to God touched many lives.

- Date: Thursday, April 24, 2025
- Venue: Sacred Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Ebenezer Communion
- Location: Adjacent First Option Filling Station, Oke-Ibukun, Abiola Way, Abeokuta, Ogun State
- Burial Service
- Date: Friday, April 25, 2025
- Venue: Sacred Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Ebenezer Communion
- Location: Adjacent First Option Filling Station, Oke-Ibukun, Abiola Way, Abeokuta, Ogun State
- Interment: Immediately after the Church Service
- Reception: Providence Event Center, by NNPC, Abiola Way, Abeokuta
The family described Titilayo Sonde as a respectful and kind-hearted woman whose legacy will forever linger in the hearts of her loved ones. She is survived by brothers, sisters, children, and grandchildren.
“We pray to God to grant Mummy eternal rest,” the children said in their tribute.
