The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, has intensified efforts to bolster security coordination in Abuja through a series of high-level familiarization visits to key sister security agencies.
During the visits held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the CP engaged with top military and intelligence officials, including the Commander, Army Headquarters Garrison, Maj. Gen. W.M. Dangana; the Commander, Naval Base Abuja, Commodore O.E. Oladipo; the Commander, 053 Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Camp, Air Commodore Imoke Emeng-Imoke; and the State Director of Security, FCT Command, U.N. Dauda.
The visits, according to the command, are part of ongoing efforts to reinforce inter-agency collaboration and strengthen joint operational strategies aimed at enhancing the security architecture of the nation’s capital.
Speaking during the engagements, CP Sanusi emphasized that effective policing and security management in the FCT depend largely on unity of purpose among all security stakeholders. He commended the existing level of cooperation among the agencies while calling for sustained synergy in tackling evolving security challenges.
The Commissioner also highlighted the importance of fostering mutual respect and collaboration across all ranks, particularly among junior officers, noting that such cohesion is vital for seamless and efficient joint operations.
In their separate remarks, the heads of the visited agencies reaffirmed their commitment to continued partnership with the Nigeria Police Force, pledged support towards maintaining peace, stability, and public safety in Abuja.
The visits ended on a note of renewed commitment to cooperation, mutual respect, and strengthened partnerships among the security agencies operating within the FCT.
