The Lateefah Moyosore Durosinmi Foundation (LMDF) will on Wednesday Aug. 21, in Ibadan give out 26 scholarship awards and grants to 14 women in small scale businesses in the Six South West Zone States and Ife Central Local Government.
In a statement by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Prof. Fatimah Abdulkareem the ceremony, which is part of the activities marking the 2019 annual programme, will hold at Bodija Islamic Centre, Ibadan at 11am.
She said with the 2019 award ceremony, the Foundation would have given out 117 scholarships and grants to 62 women in the zone.
The Chairman of the occasion is Alhaji Niyi Yusuf, Managing Director, Verraki while Dr Mrs Habeebah Oladosu of Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, University of Ibadan will speak on “Women Empowerment – a Panacea to Poverty”.
She said that other important guests and dignitaries have been invited to grace the occasion.
Abdulkareem added that the LMD Foundation will also as from this year grant further supports to previous beneficiaries for sustainability.
