Gov Sani Bello commiserates with Kano Govt ,Emirate,over death of Sarkin Bai Kano,Alhaji Mukhtar Adnan

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has commiserated with the government and people of Kano State over the death of one of the longest-serving kingmakers in the history of Kano Emirate, Sarkin Bai Kano, Alhaji Mukhtar Adnan.
Governor Sani Bello in a condolence message described the death of the first Commissioner of Education in the old Kano State as a great loss not only to the people of Kano, but the entire country.
The Chairman North Central Governors Forum(NCGF) said the deceased was a man of integrity and good reputations in his affairs.
He said late Alhaji Adnan served humanity with sincerity of purpose as a public servant, politician and traditional institution whose records have remained a reference point to all.
The Governor prayed Allah to forgive the deceased and grant him Aljahna Firdausi.
He also prayed Allah to give the government of Kano, the immediate and extended family members of the lake kingmaker as well as close associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Born in1926, late Alhaji Mukhtar Adnan was the First Commissioner for Education in the old Kano State and a Chief Whip in the First Republic Parliament.
The deceased was the District Head of Dambatta and a kingmaker who served Kano Emirate for 63 years and participated in the selection of Emir of Kano Muhammadu Inuwa (1963), Emir of Kano Ado Bayero (1963-2014), Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II and the current Kano State Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero in 2020.
He left behind four wives, 26 children, and grandchildren.
Among his children is Dr. Mansur Mukhtar Vice President of Islamic Development Bank and former Nigeria’s Minister of Finance.
