Industrial and Medical Gases Nigeria has moved to deepen collaboration with the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre as part of efforts to expand industrial support services and enhance vocational capacity building for military personnel transitioning to civilian life.
This was disclosed during a courtesy visit by the Acting Managing Director of IMAN, Mr. Abayomi Oke, to the Commandant of NAFRC, Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ignatius Ilo.
Mr. Oke said the visit was aimed at familiarising himself with the Centre’s leadership and identifying new areas of partnership that would be mutually beneficial. He noted that stronger collaboration between both institutions would contribute to national development through improved skills acquisition, industrial engagement, and structured capacity-building programmes.
He added that IMAN remained committed to supporting initiatives that promote workforce development and strengthen Nigeria’s industrial ecosystem, especially in areas linked to technical training and post-service reintegration.
In his response, AVM Ilo welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for IMAN’s continued relationship with the Centre. He assured that NAFRC would sustain its cooperation with the organisation, noting that partnerships with industry stakeholders are essential to achieving its mandate.
The Commandant further outlined ongoing reforms and developmental initiatives at the Centre, including expanded vocational training programmes and workshops designed to equip retiring military personnel with practical skills for successful reintegration into civilian life.
He also encouraged continued patronage of NAFRC’s training services and products, stressing that the Centre remains focused on preparing personnel for productive post-service careers.
Both organisations reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration frameworks aimed at boosting national development, improving technical capacity, and enhancing resettlement outcomes for military personnel across the country.
