Immigration Rivers Marine Command seeks stronger collaboration with Oil and Gas FTZ Command

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Comptroller of Immigration, Rivers Marine Command, Onne, Comptroller E. Eneh, paid a courtesy visit to the Customs Area Controller of the Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Command, Comptroller A.M. Alkali, at his office.

 

During the meeting, Comptroller Eneh emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), particularly due to the proximity of both Commands and the need for enhanced synergy in port operations.

 

In his response, Comptroller Alkali acknowledged the long-standing cooperation between the two agencies, reaffirming their shared commitment to national security and trade facilitation. He expressed his Command’s readiness to deepen operational synergy for more effective border and port management.

 

The visit underscored the commitment of both agencies to improved inter-agency collaboration in ensuring efficient maritime and trade operations within the Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone.
