The Nigerian Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services ( NIFAAS) has reiterated its commitment to provide effective advisory services to the rural dwellers who are majorly Farmers in the country.
This was disclosed by the President of the Forum, Prof. Dele Tologbonse at the inaugural meeting of it’s new Executive Committee in Abuja.
Prof. Tologbonse further revealed that members of the Forum are scattered all over the country in order to provide advisory services to the peasant farmers.
According to the National President, “this feat would be achieved by collaborating with relevant stakeholders like Extension Associations and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture among several others”.
He announced that Nigeria has been granted the hosting right for the 6th Africa Wide Agricultural Extension Week in 2023, stressed that the programme would bring together all African countries and Agricultural Advisory providers to Nigeria with a view to discussing how best to develop Agriculture in Africa through Extension Services.
