The Niger State Governor,Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello today performed official flag off of the Federal government 774,000 Extended Special Public Works Programme at Abdulsalami Youth Centre, Minna,Niger state capital.
The Governor who was represented by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane called on all the Local Government Chairmen in the State and other stakeholders to provide all the necessary support with a view to making the programme a successful one.
He expressed optimism that within the duration of programme, participants will be able to acquire skills thereby becoming self-reliant.
The Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zubairu Dada who also attended the occasion told the participants that the Federal Government was closely monitoring the implementation of the programme in order to ascertain the efficient utilization of every resource, human or material committed to the programme.
