Niger Govt To Safeguard Gurara Waterfalls ….As Gov Sani Bello Orders Reinforcement Of Gurara Police Division

The Niger state Governor ,Abubakar Sani Bello has ordered for the re-enforcement of Gurara division of the Nigerian police force to enable them performed efficiently.

The Governor gave the directive when he had a stop over at the Gurara waterfall, Gurara Local Government Area.

The Governor who described the waterfall as a great asset for the state and an avenue for IGR, said there was need to safeguard it.

He ordered that the police division be equipped with additional communication gadgets and functional vehicle to enable them take full patrol of the area.

Governor Sani Bello also ordered that a structure be erected at the Gurara waterfall’s junction to serve as an accommodation to those on duty especially when it is raining or sunny.

The Governor further directed that a Five thousands hecters of land be acquired for the conservation of Natural Resources along the water fall.

He urged the Ministry of Environment and Justice to enact law banning hunting and felling down of economic trees.

The Governor therefore instructed the permanent secretary ministry of environmental to recruit 30 youth within the Gurara waterfall community to safeguard the environment of the waterfall and land compensation should be made with immediate effect.

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello also paid an unscheduled visit to the to IBB Specialize Hospital Minna where he rubbed mind with the patients and their relatives. He sympathised with them and prayed Allah to grant them quick recovery.

He said his administration will continue to remain committed towards the well-being of the citizens especially in the area of health and security.

Governor Sani-Bello advised that all health facility environments in the state should be keep clean at all times. He said health is wealth as such his government cannot afford to toy with it.
