A joint task force comprised of the Police, Military, DSS, NSCDC and Vigilantees in a continuous onslaught against youth restiveness, thuggery and other acts of criminality in Minna,Niger state capital metropolis, launched an aggressive raid and house to house search on Tuesday 25th January, 2022 at Unguwar-Biri community area of Bosso LGA arrested twenty eight (28) additional suspects with the following recoveries;
-Ten (10) arrows
-Seven (7) cutlasses
-Eight (8) knives
-Nine (9) sticks
-Five (5) shisha pipes
-One (1) wood cutter
-One (1) axe
-One (1) iron rod
-One (1) iron cutter
-One (1) scissor
-One (1) fry wheel
-Two (2) screw-drivers
-Thirteen (13) handsets
-Seventeen (17) sachets and four (4) nylon of Indian-hemp
-Assorted charms
-Some clothes and slippers.
The Niger state Police command assured that the operation will be continuous to fish-out all the undesirable elements and street urchins, until the metropolis is totally rid of criminals.
The Commissioner of Police Niger State Command CP Monday Bala Kuryas, therefore, warned all trouble makers to stop or face the full wrath of the law.
All arrested suspects are under investigation in SCID, Minna and will also be arraigned in court for prosecution as soon as investigation is concluded.
