NIMC launches NINAuth for seamless Digital Identity Verification across MDAs

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has officially launched the NIN Authentication Service (NINAuth), a cutting-edge digital solution designed to offer secure and seamless identity verification and authentication across all government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

The initiative, approved by the Federal Government and backed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is a key part of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at strengthening the national digital identity infrastructure. The directive mandated the use of NINAuth by all MDAs for identity verification and authentication services.

NINAuth offers an integrated suite of services including web, API, and mobile verification options, promoting improved data security, privacy, and user control. The platform also supports Know Your Customer (KYC) standards and enhances trust, accountability, and digital inclusion across sectors.

Key services accessible through NINAuth include SIM registration and replacement, immigration and passport applications, tax filings, government intervention programs, and driver’s license renewals, among others.

Key features and benefits of NINAuth include:

  • Enhanced Security: Safeguards personal data from unauthorized access.
  • User Control: Allows individuals to manage their data-sharing preferences.
  • Seamless Access: Enables single sign-on solutions for multiple government services.

According to the Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, “NINAuth is a secure, scalable, and interoperable identity verification platform that enhances real-time authentication and data harmonization, thereby improving service delivery and accessibility.”

Nigerians are encouraged to download the NINAuth App from the Google Play Store or Apple iOS App Store to begin accessing these digital services. Further information is available at; https://ninauth.nimc.gov.ng.
