NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has advised Corps Members to embrace Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme of NYSC in order to become self reliant and wealth creators in the face of unavailable salaried jobs.
DG gave this advise today in Dutse while commissioning a Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Centre built by NYSC Jigawa State Secretariat under the leadership of the State Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed.
He said the management would continue to provide enabling environment for Corps Members to develop their innate talents that would make them self independent during and after their service year.
While commending the State Coordinator and his entire staff for the multi-million naira edifice, General Ibrahim said leadership was a privilege to make positive impact.
The DG also appealed to the Corps Members to maximize the opportunities of the SAED centre to develop themselves adding that ideas rules the world.
Ibrahim further admonished them to be of good conduct and maintain proper dressing at all times.
He harped on the dangers of unauthorized journey added that approval must be sought from the NYSC before embarking on any journey.
NYSC Jigawa State Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed commended the immediate past Director-General of NYSC, Major General Suleiman Kazaure for his support and equally the intervention of the incumbent DG, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim towards the project.
He said the centre was also available to interested members of the public that may wish to access it.
The edifice contained six offices, one Corps registry, three classrooms, for skills acquisition centre comprising ICT, Food Processing and Preservation including Fashion and Design.
