Oyetola eulogizes Gen Adeosun, condoles him over mother’s death

The Governor of Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola, on Saturday extolled the virtues of Lieutenant General Lamidi Adeosun, described him as a blessing to Nigeria and Osun in particular.
He said Osun was lucky to have Adeosun as her illustrious son whose impact as a military officer at ensuring a continued unity and oneness of Nigeria could not be over-emphasised.
This was even as the Governor condoled Adeosun over the demise of his mother, madam Saudat Ayoni Adeyeye Adeosun Osunsola, who passed on at the age of 85 years.
Governor Oyetola spoke while addressing the people at the 41 days fidau prayer of the late Mrs. Adeosun.
He expressed delight at the achievements recorded by the military officer, saying he had written his name in the sand of time as far as the nation’s military is concerned.
“I must say emphatically that we are blessed to have Lieutenant General Lamidi Adeosun in our State. We are lucky to have him.
” The amazing thing in his life is that despite his rank in the military, he is extremely humble. People do say I am humble, but I have seen in Adeosun humility par excellence.
“I know as a matter of fact that if the people must talk about what he did, he had done a lot for his community, the State and the nation as a whole. We can testify to this and people can also testify to that,” Oyetola said.
While expressing his condolences, Governor Oyetola prayed God to repose the departed soul and grant her eternal rest in Aljana Firdaus.

“We all pray to succeed our parents. He is just joining us. I lost mine ten years ago. I pray for the repose of Mama’s soul. May Allah grant her Aljana Firdaus,” Oyetola added
