The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) wishes to alert members of the general public to a disturbing rise in the activities of fraudsters who are impersonating Customs officers and falsely claiming to offer auctioned vehicles, goods, and job opportunities.
These unscrupulous individuals operate through fake websites, social media accounts, and messaging platforms, deceiving unsuspecting Nigerians into making payments for services that are entirely non-existent.
The NCS reiterated that:
🔴 The Nigeria Customs Service does NOT conduct recruitment or auction sales via social media or personal contacts.
🔴 All official auctions are carried out transparently on authorized platforms and in strict accordance with due process and established guidelines.
🔴 No Customs officer is authorized to receive payments directly from members of the public for auctions, employment, or any related transaction.
