BREAKING: Tinubu orders probe of Beta Edu over alleged misappropriation of N585m

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the directive by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu, requesting payment of N585.189 million grant meant for vulnerable groups in Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ogun and Lagos States into a private account.   The directive was disclosed in a statement issued by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.     Recall that the minister had asked the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation to pay the said amount to the personal account of a certain Oniyelu…
