The National Youth Service Corps has re-echoed its strong determination to prevent unqualified graduates from enlistment into National Service.   The scheme decried the continuous decline of quality graduates from unaccredited institutions, manipulation of data to allow part-time graduates enrol for service and other unwholesome practices by some Corps Producing Institutions within and outside the country. MOBILISATION: NYSC charges Corps Producing Institutions on Data Credibility

Corps Producing Institutions in the country have been charged to ensure that only credible graduates are mobilised for national service. NYSC Director-General, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim stated this in his address at the 2022 Batch “A” Pre-Mobilisation Workshop with the theme, “Enhancing the credibility of the mobilisation process through effective data control”, held in Abuja. NYSC Knocks Foreign Institutions Over Certificate Racketeering

The National Youth Service Corps has condemned some Foreign Tertiary Institutions in Africa for awarding certificates and transcripts to persons that never passed through academic rigour. NYSC said efforts were in place by the Federal Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs to ensure that all Degree and HND Certificates obtained outside the shores of Nigeria are authenticated at the Nigerian Consulate in the countries of study.
