Tribunal declares Kaduna Guber poll inconclusive, orders rerun in 4 LGAs

In what appeared to be a sharp departure from what other judges manning electoral tribunals in other states of the federation have done, the governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Kaduna, has declared the poll which produced Senator Uba Sani of the All Progressives Congress—APC as Governor, inconclusive.

Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party—PDP and its candidate, Isah Mohammed Ashiru had filed a petition challenging Uba Sani’s victory.

The three-man panel headed by Justice Victor Oviawe also ordered a rerun of election in seven wards, four local government areas, 24 polling units consisting of 16,300 registered voters.
