UNIFEMGA holds 3rd Agric expo in Abeokuta on Saturday Nov 25

As part of its contribution towards agricultural development in Nigeria, the third in the series of the Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA) Ogun State Chapter Annual agricultural national programme will hold in Abeokuta on Saturday Nov. 25.

 

In a statement by the Ogun state Chairman of UNIFEMGA, Mr Tairu Olarewaju said the 2023 theme is : “Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Development: Access to Finance and Funding Opportunities”.

 

He said the one-day event will hold at The Crescent (Muslim Professional) Hall, Leme, Abeokuta, under the chairmanship of Professor Saburi Adejimi Adesanya, a former Vice Chancellor of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.

 

Expected to deliver the keynote address at the event is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Lotus Bank, Alhaja Kafilat Araoye, on “How To Access Agricultural Loans At Lotus Bank”.

 

Other experts are Professor Akinloye Jimoh Farinde and Professor Abdullateef Sanni, Executive Director, Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI) Ilorin, who will speak on the topics “Agricultural Development in Nigeria” and “Agricultural Entrepreneurship” respectively.

 

There will also be goodwill messages from the National President of the Association, Alhaji Abdulfattah Olanlege as well as Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti, the BOT Chairman of UNIFEMGA.

 

The expo, Olarewaju said, will be witnessed by experts in the industry as well as investors in agricultural business.
