YPAN Kwara state Coordinator, Comrade Salahudeen Lukman,stated this during a meeting with the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajia Saadat Modibbo Kawu; and that of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Arch.Saifudeen Muhammad, on Tuesday, The commissioners said Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq led administration is posed to tackle unemployment among the youths in the state.

While presenting a proposal for collaboration on entrepreneurship and vocational skills for youths, Lukman said the program is targeted at the 16 local government, and 16 beneficiaries would be selected to learn 7 vocational skills across the state.

Commissioner for Tertiary Education,Hajia Saadat Modibbo Kawu expressed appreciation on the efforts made by the association in reaching out to the ministry for collaboration towards poverty eradication and tackling unemployment.

Meanwhile, Arch. Saifudeen Muhammad, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, while reacting to the proposal, assured YPAN of his ministry’s support for the projects as this he said,was in line with the vision of the present administration in the state.

He however revealed that Governor Abdulrahman had directed all Ministries to partner with organizations who are into human capital development and youth empowerment.

Muhammad noted that no government would invest in projects that does not have level of commitment as this would amount to waste of resources as the state government is trying to be prudent enough with funds due to the current economic situation
