The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now print their original result slips, a key requirement for admission processing into tertiary institutions across the country.
JAMB disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday by its spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, noting that the original result slips would be available for printing within hours of the announcement.
According to the Board, the original result slip contains important information, including the candidate’s photograph, national ranking and other security features required for post-UTME screening and admission consideration by higher institutions.
“The 2026 UTME Original Result Slip will be available for printing within the next two hours today, Wednesday, June 17, 2026,” the statement stated.
JAMB explained that the document forms part of the official requirements for post-UTME processing and admission exercises conducted by universities, polytechnics and colleges of education nationwide.
The Board added that candidates can conveniently print their result slips from any internet-enabled device, including personal computers, mobile devices and accredited business centres.
It urged candidates to carefully verify the details on the printed slips and keep copies for future use throughout the admission process.
The development comes after the conclusion of the 2026 UTME exercise, which was conducted in April, and the mop-up examination held on June 13 for candidates affected by technical and biometric verification challenges during the main examination.
JAMB released the results of the mop-up examination on Tuesday, June 16, paving the way for the completion of all outstanding processes related to the 2026 admission cycle.
The Board had earlier appealed for patience from candidates, explaining that the release of the original result slips was delayed to accommodate the completion of foreign-based examinations and the mop-up exercise.
With the activation of result slip printing, candidates can now proceed with applications to their preferred tertiary institutions as many schools have commenced, or are set to commence, their post-UTME registration and screening exercises for the 2026/2027 academic session.
