Abuja #EndBadGovernance Protesters reject Stadium Restriction, move to Eagle Square

The standoff between the Commissioner and protesters escalated into a heated argument, with the remaining resolute in their determination to continue their protest.

Angry #EndBadGovernance protesters in Abuja, who initially gathered at the National Stadium, are now marching towards Eagle Square.

Earlier, the FCT Commissioner of Police attempted to redirect the protesters into the stadium to prevent road blockages, but they refused, citing tha the court order being referred to by the police commissioner did not state that they must be inside the stadium.

 

The standoff between the Commissioner and protesters escalated into a heated argument, with the demonstrators remaining resolute in their determination to continue their protest.

Meanwhile, the protesters have now redirected their march towards Eagle Square, where a substantial security presence has been deployed, with barricades in place.

Interestingly, some police vehicles are currently escorting the protesters, who are chanting slogans such as ‘We Are Hungry’ and ‘Police Are Hungry’.
