Blueprint Publisher, Alhaji Idris Malagi mourns death of Ex-Borno SSG …. visits deceased’s family in Maiduguri

The Chairman/ CEO, Blueprint Newspaper, Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi has mourned the death of immediate past Secretary to the Borno State Government, Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa, who died after a brief illness.

 

Alhaji Shuwa served as Secretary to the State Government SSG during Governor Babagana Zulum’s first tenure.

 

Mourning the passing of the ace politician and lawyer during a condolence visit to his family house in Maiduguri in company of his wife, Hajiya Karima Mohammed Idris and Alhaji Abdulmalik Muye, the media mogul described the death of Shuwa as a colossal loss, not only to Borno State but to Nigeria.

 

“He was a versatile personality and a great researcher,” said the Blueprint Newspaper boss, adding that the deceased was “blessed with a wealth of knowledge notably his outstanding contributions to law research.”Malagi said.

 

Malagi commended the late Shuwa for his role in strengthening the country’s civil service and the role he played in quite a number of high-profile committees and panels at the State and Federal levels, either as Chairman or Member citing that he Co-Chaired the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Committee, appointed by the Federal Executive Council to investigate activities of the Board and Management of the Nigeria Ports Authority under the Chairmanship of Chief Bode George from 2003-2007 saying that he leaves behind an indelible mark on the development trajectory of our nation.

 

Malagi, while praying to Allah to forgive the soul of the deceased and reward his good deeds with aljanna, also extended his condolences to the good people of the Shuwa Tribe and the Borno State Government at large.
