CP Sanusi Receives POWA Delegation, Reaffirms Support for Police Families in FCT

The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory Command, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of police officers and their families.
CP Sanusi gave the assurance on Monday while receiving a delegation of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), FCT Chapter, led by the Chairperson, Maimuna Muhammed Sanusi, at the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki II, Abuja.


During the visit, the POWA Chairperson appreciated the Commissioner of Police for approving the engagement and commended his leadership in ensuring the safety and security of residents of the Federal Capital Territory.
She reiterated the association’s commitment to supporting police officers and their families, while promoting unity and welfare among police households across the Command.
Mrs. Sanusi noted that POWA recognizes the sacrifices and dedication of police officers in the discharge of their duties and assured officers of the continuous support and solidarity of the association.
She also pledged that POWA would continue to work closely with the leadership of the Command to advance programmes geared towards improving the wellbeing of police families.
Responding, CP Sanusi expressed appreciation to the delegation and acknowledged the critical role played by POWA in strengthening family values and supporting officers within the Nigeria Police Force.

The police commissioner assured the association of the Command’s backing for activities and programmes designed to enhance the welfare of police personnel and their families.
He further encouraged members of POWA to remain supportive of their spouses, stressing that family stability and encouragement contribute significantly to effective policing and improved service delivery.

The visit ended with goodwill messages and a renewed commitment by both parties towards the welfare of police personnel and the continued security of the FCT.
