DG NPC Embarks on “Catch Them Young” To Inculcate Productivity, Launch NYSC Hand Book.

The Director General, National Productivity Centre NPC, Dr Kashim Akor has opined that for Nigeria to develop a permanent template for virile entrepreneur, skill development, and enterprising society, the need to explore the young ones both at the secondary and tertiary institutions is germane.

 

Dr Kashim Akor made this remarks on Friday during the unveiling of the productivity handbook for National Youths Service Corps NYSC in Nigeria, held at the corporate headquarters of the centre in Abuja.

 

Dr Akor stressed the need to raise early consciousness and awareness from the early stage of Nigerian children, from the post primary schools to the higher level to ensure genuine all round productivity In all areas.

 

He said the mentorship program can only be achieved through the youth groups at the secondary age and clubs that will transmute to a virile life at the tertiary, university level when they are expected to realize their potentials.

 

With these consciousness, Dr Kashim Akor said government, private and public spirited individuals will be able to build and inculcate both career, robust way of life.

 

The Director General urged NYSC Management to adopt the handbook as part of its efforts to go extra mile to create avenue and way of life for both serving and past corps members.

 

He promised that the centre will continue to propagate policies and programs that will drive all round productivity in Nigeria.

 

Highlights of the event included the unveiling of the handbook with some selected Youth Corps Members.
