In a brief but memorable occasion at the NYSC Secretariat in Jos, Plateau State, it was double blessing to the Scheme in the State for witnessing the end of the 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream One service year and celebrating Corps Members, Felicia and Mark for taking the bold step to unite in love.
Ibrahim who expressed joy, congratulated the couple for successfully completing their service year. He also encouraged them to strife towards higher goals in life while praying for God’s mercy upon them as they establish a new home.
While admonishing the couple, the DG promised to keep in touch with them and to further strengthen them. He called on them to also reach out to him from time to time to maintain a mutual relationship.
Similarly, General Ibrahim advised the other Corps Members who have completed the service year to remain focused and resilient stressed that, there are scarce white-colar jobs and they should put into flame, the numerous skills acquired via the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme for economic empowerment.
He also encouraged them to stay back in their host state – Plateau, which is richly endowed with natural resources with a lot of opportunities that abound untapped in the State.
He therefore charged them to put to practice all the tenets embedded in the course of the service to excel in life.
While declaring a toast to the NYSC – made couple, the State Coordinator, NYSC Plateau, Caroline Embu, prayed for God’s favour, blessings, success in their marital life and other endeavours.
