Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, has congratulated Christians in Niger State and beyond as they celebrate Easter.
Governor Sani Bello in a message, noted that Easter is a significant celebration observed by Christians to reflect on the love and sacrifice exemplified by Jesus who is the foundation of Christianity.
He enjoined Christians to celebrate Easter solemnly and exhibit the virtues of love, selflessness, forgiveness, perseverance, as well as sacrifice, which are the hallmarks of the celebration.
The Governor also urged Christians to use the period to pray for lasting peace and security in the state in particular and the nation in general.
“I congratulate you on the celebration of Easter. As you celebrate, it is important that you reflect on the virtues of Jesus Christ who is the reason for the season and practice them.
“In your celebration, pray for sustainable peace and tranquility in the state and the nation at large and also, for a successful transition to the next administration”.
While wishing the Christian faithful a successful and hitch-free celebration, the Governor assured Nigerlites of his commitment to effective service delivery till the end of his tenure.
