The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, has extended warm Easter greetings to Nigerians, urging renewed hope, strengthened faith, and a deeper commitment to national development.
In her Easter message released by her Special Assistant on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Desmond Utomwen, the Presidential Adviser highlighted the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a symbol of renewal, sacrifice, and the triumph of light over darkness.
She called on citizens to draw inspiration from the season by embracing unity, compassion, and a collective sense of responsibility in building a better society.
Orelope-Adefulire noted that the values of Easter closely align with the principles underpinning the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the pursuit of inclusiveness, equity, and shared prosperity.
She further urged stakeholders across government, the private sector, and civil society to remain steadfast in their commitment to advancing sustainable development and ensuring that no one is left behind.
According to her, Nigeria’s progress towards achieving the SDGs requires a whole-of-society approach anchored on collaboration, resilience, and sustained action.
She expressed optimism that with continued dedication and a shared vision, the country would overcome its challenges and achieve meaningful development outcomes for both present and future generations.
