Easter: Bakare Felicitates Christians, Urges Unity, Compassion

Dr. Ololade Usman Bakare, founder of the Igbega Oyo Initiative and a gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to Christians on the occasion of Easter.

In a message marking the celebration, Bakare described Easter as a sacred season that symbolised the ultimate sacrifice, love, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which remained central to the Christian faith.

He noted that the period offered an opportunity for deep reflection on the virtues of humility, selflessness, forgiveness, and hope, adding that the resurrection signifies victory over despair.

According to him, the message of Easter remains relevant, especially in challenging times, as it encouraged Christians to rise above adversity, strengthen their faith, and remain steadfast in the collective pursuit of peace, unity, and progress.

Bakare further urged Christians to draw inspiration from the life of Jesus Christ by showing compassion to one another, promoting harmony within communities, and working together for the common good of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

He also called on the faithful to use the season to pray fervently for the state and the country, particularly for good leadership, economic stability, improved security, and sustainable development.

The APC chieftain encouraged Christians to extend love and kindness to the less privileged, in line with the teachings of Christ.
