The Edo State Police Command has intensified efforts to track down suspected kidnappers following the successful rescue of three victims. In the course of the operation, security operatives recovered an AK-47 rifle with breach number 1972P09108, loaded with 22 rounds of live ammunition in Okhuesan Forest along the Okhuesan-Ewohimi road.
The operation, carried out on February 3, 2025, at about 5:30 PM, was part of the Command’s ongoing crackdown on criminal elements terrorizing the state. The Commissioner of Police, CP Betty Enekpen Isokpan Otimenyin, reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to maintaining law and order, emphasizing that the hunt for the suspects would continue until they are brought to justice.
