EID-EL-KABIR: Niger SSG greets muslim ummah, sue for peaceful coexistence

As the people of Niger State joined the rest of the World to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman has enjoined Muslims to always remain steadfast and imbibe the culture of honesty and peaceful coexistence.

 

The SSG who disclosed this in his message to commemorate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir on behalf of the Government and people of the State further implored the people of the State to use the occasion to pray fervently for peace, unity and security of lives and property.

 

Alhaji Usman admonished Muslims faithful to use the teachings of Eid-el-Kabir to promote love, harmony and live peacefully with one another irrespective of religious, tribal or socio-political affiliation.

 

The SSG who noted that love, loyalty and sacrifice are the hallmarks of the festival urged the Muslims Ummah to continue to uphold these lessons after the festival.

 

He said the present administration led by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago is committed to the progress and development of the State, hence the need for Nigerlites to support the laudable programmes and policies of Government designed to better the living standard of the populace.

 

Alhaji Usman enjoined the Muslim faithful and adherents of other faiths in the State to make peaceful coexistence their watchword and work together for a more peaceful and prosperous State, which would be the delight of all.
