Alhaji,Chief ,Dr. Adeduntan in a statement made available to news men in Ibadan on Monday through his media office urged all Muslim faithfuls“to reflect on the lessons of sacrifice, charity and love that the feast of Eid-el- Kabir epitomises.”
Adeduntan who was the immediate past commissioner of health and currently in the United States of America on his annual vacation felicitates with Muslim faithfuls in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.
“As our Muslim brothers, sisters and friends mark this special season, I join them to celebrate & reflect on the lessons of sacrifice, charity and love that the feast of Eid-el-Kabir teaches us.”
“The challenges facing our nation,especially at this period of the new global coronavirus pandemic known as “Delta Variant “, and insecurity throughout the six geopolitical regions of this nation ,require introspection and prayers by all Nigerians especially the Muslim Ummahs on the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (PBOH) on being our brothers keepers.
“So, I urge our Muslim faithfuls and all Nigerians to continue to live in peace and love while praying for the prosperity of Oyo state and our country.
“We should pray with fervency to almighty Allah (SWT)-that the ominous and gathering mushroom clouds of secession and war should abate
“I want to assure you that as one of the leading contenders for the seat of the GOVERNOR come 2023 Insha Allah, My administration shall be committed to promoting peaceful co-existence between and among adherents of the different faiths in order to build a prosperous and peaceful state for everyone to realise their dreams.
Alhaji Adeduntan also extended his greetings to President Mohammed Buhari ,the Olubadan of Ibadan ,Oba Saliu Adetunji Aje Ogungunniso I ,the Olubadan in Council,the Alafin of Oyo,-Alhaji OBA Lamidi Adeyemi(111), ,the Soun OF Ogbomoso ,Oba Jimoh Oyewumi,the Aseyin of Iseyin,the Okere of Shaki,and other traditional rulers,the ARE Musulumi of Yorubaland,Delta and Edo state-Alhaji Daud Makanjuola ,all Muslim ummahs,and all Nigerians without exceptions.
