Facado Orphanage Home marks 18th Year Anniversary, expresses gratitude to God for guiding the orphanage’s journey

An Abuja based Orphanage,Facado Orphanage Home yesterday 19th October 2024 ,celebrated its 18th anniversary with a series of events , praising God for illuminating the orphanage’s path with resilience and determination over the years.

 

With the theme revolving on “Beyond Limitation,” the event was a spectacle of excitement, drama, words of inspiration, musical performances, cultural dances, spoken word poetry, martial arts demonstrations, award presentations, unveiling of the upcoming year’s calendar, and the ceremonial cutting of a cake.

The foundation marked its 18th anniversary with a remarkable event that captivated the hearts of all attendees. The jubilant atmosphere was filled with a sense of camaraderie and goodwill as benefactors and supporters gathered to honor this significant milestone.

 

The festivities were adorned with an array of delightful performances and heartfelt speeches, underscoring the profound impact of the orphanage’s unwavering commitment to providing a nurturing environment for its residents.

 

The outpouring of support and encouragement from the community served as a testament to the enduring legacy of compassion and resilience embodied by Facado Orphanage Home.

 

In her welcoming speech, the Founder and Director of Facado Orphanage Home, Amb. Mrs. Ngozi George, expressed profound joy at the 18 years of dedicated service in providing love, care, and support to vulnerable children.

 

Emphasizing the theme of the year, “Beyond Limitations,” the Founder reiterated the orphanage’s commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.

 

She highlighted numerous success stories of children who have overcome challenges and achieved excellence over the past 18 years.

 

She said”We currently have a child in university, four recent secondary school graduates awaiting university admission, and others excelling in primary and nursery education, all to the glory of God”

 

The celebration also served as day of tribute to resilience, determination, and divine faithfulness, honoring the tireless efforts of staff, volunteers, and partners who have positively impacted the lives of the children under their care.

 

Looking ahead, the Founder affirmed the orphanage’s dedication to empowering young minds and breaking boundaries, expressing gratitude to all supporters for enabling the provision of quality education, healthcare services, nutritional support, emotional care, and holistic child development.

 

In his address, Pastor Caleb Olubiyi, who is the Resident Pastor at Living Faith Church, Lokogoma, represented by Pastor Dombin described Facado Orphanage Home as a sanctuary of safety, protection, and growth for the children, foreseeing a future of abundance and peace for them as they are nurtured in godly ways.

 

Pastor Olubiyi charged other orphanages to emulate Facado’s selflessness and sacrifice, he emphasized the importance of caring for orphaned children, quoting Exodus 22:22 to highlight the divine call to support widows and orphans.

 

Ibrahim Babainna, CEO of IBI Foundation, shared his experience visiting orphanages and commended Facado for creating a vibrant and nurturing environment for the children under their care.

 

He therefore urged other orphanages to learn from Facado’s initiatives in providing a comprehensive support system for their beneficiaries.

 

Also, Pastor David Kareem from Living Faith Church,APO Resettlement Abuja expressed gratitude for the remarkable progress witnessed in the lives of the children and founders of Facado over the past 18 years, foreseeing a bright future for the organization locally and internationally.

 

Elder Dr. Mrs. Chioma Amajor reflected on the biblical mandate to care for orphans and widows, praising the founder of Facado for her godly stewardship and dedication in creating a home where divine presence and care abound.

 

She also reflected on scriptures, quoting: Exodus 22:22 Calls Us to Look After Orphans “That you and I have been called by God as his people to take responsibility to care for widows and to care for orphans.”

 

As the celebration unfolded, one of the orphans, a 16-year-old orphan Ogbunikpa Chidinmma Marry, who joined Facado Foundation at the age of 6, presently seeking administration into University Abuja expressed gratitude on behalf of the orphans for the support received.

 

She further highlighted the ongoing need for nutritious meals, clean water, sanitation, and daily supplies.

 

However, the commemoration of Facado Orphanage Home’s 18th anniversary served as a testament to the power of compassion, perseverance, and collective effort in transforming the lives of vulnerable children and inspiring hope for a brighter future.
