FCT Police Boss Strengthens Security Ties with Guards Brigade, Customs in Abuja

The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, has intensified efforts to bolster security coordination in Abuja with strategic visits to key sister agencies.

Sanusi, who paid familiarization visits on Wednesday to the Commander of the Guards Brigade, Brigadier General A.O. Onasanya, and the Controller of Customs, FCT Area Command, Comptroller V.C. Aliboh, said the initiative is part of ongoing measures to strengthen inter-agency collaboration within the capital.

The visits, according to the police chief, are aimed at enhancing operational synergy, promoting intelligence sharing, and ensuring more effective joint operations among security agencies to improve the overall safety of the FCT.
He emphasized the importance of unity of purpose among security operatives, commending the existing cooperation between agencies while urging sustained collaboration, mutual respect, and deeper engagement across all ranks.

In their responses, the Guards Brigade Commander and the Customs Controller expressed readiness to consolidate on the existing partnership with the police, pledging continued support in securing the nation’s capital.

The visits featured the exchange of plaques and souvenirs, alongside photo sessions to commemorate the engagements.

The FCT Police Command also called on residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station or via its emergency lines.
