The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, on Thursday carried out an on-the-spot assessment of security deployments at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres hosting the ongoing examinations conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The inspection, which took place across various centres in Abuja, is part of proactive measures by the FCT Police Command to ensure a smooth, peaceful, and incident-free exercise scheduled from April 16 to 18, 2026.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the exercise is aimed at strengthening security presence and boosting public confidence in the examination process across the territory.
During the visit, CP Sanusi evaluated the adequacy of security arrangements put in place to safeguard candidates, examination officials, and facilities. He also engaged with centre supervisors, reassuring them of sustained police presence throughout the examination period.
The police chief reiterated the Command’s readiness to maintain law and order, warned that any attempt to disrupt the examination process would be met with firm and lawful action.
