Mr Ehie, who thwarted the impeachment of governor Fubara last year will now replace Honourable Chidi Amadi, a kinsman to the troublesome Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
The former Speaker had on Sunday night resigned his position as both Speaker and member representing Ahoada-East Constituency 2 in the Rivers State House of Assembly.
