Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, on Wednesday commissioned major infrastructure projects in Sokoto State as part of activities marking the second anniversary of Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s administration.
Among the projects commissioned were the Tamaje Water Scheme and the Mabera Township Roads, both of which are critical to improving the quality of life for Sokoto residents.
Speaking at the event, Governor Okpebholo expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the landmark celebration in the Seat of the Caliphate. He described the invitation as a symbol of national unity and the evolving inter-state cooperation in Nigeria.
“I am honoured to be here in Sokoto to celebrate these important milestones. This is not just a privilege—it is a reflection of the partnerships we are fostering across the country. Indeed, a New Edo Has Risen,” he stated.
Governor Okpebholo also congratulated Governor Ahmed Aliyu and the people of Sokoto State on their developmental achievements and reaffirmed his commitment to national progress.
“Together, we will continue to advance progress, unity, and shared prosperity across Nigeria,” he added.
