Niger State Governor ,Abubakar Sani Bello has described retired DCG Talatu Mairo Isa of the Nigeria Customs Service as an embodiment of, commitment, hard work and humility.
The Governor disclosed this at a retirement Dinner in honour DCG Mairo Isa who attained the 35 years in service.
The retirement dinner which was held in Abuja was witnessed by dignitaries from all walks of life.
The Secretary to the Niger State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane who represented Governor Sani Bello at the occasion disclosed that DCG Mairo Isa contributed diligently to the growth and development of the country.
Governor Sani Bello expressed appreciation to the retiree for her loyalty, commitment, perseverance, dedication and untold sacrifices throughout her service.
He implored her to endeavour to come back to her home State and render services, noting that the people and Government of Niger State will be looking forward to benefitting from her vast experience and reservoirs of knowledge.
In their separate remarks, the Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar and the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed pointed out that the retiree had left an indelible mark at every post she had held in the course of her service career.
Also her colleagues at the Nigeria Customs Service described Isa as a very good team player, always on top of her job and whose contributions are always vital.
In her response, DCG Talatu Mairo Isa advised those still in active service to always ensure that they contribute their quota to improve the lot of the country and humanity.
She then thanked everyone for honouring the event.
