Information Management: LG Media Aides seek collaboration with CPS to Niger Gov

The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, Mary Noel-Berje has stressed the need for synergy between her office and the Forum of Media Aides to Local Government Chairmen in the State to ensure effective information management on government policies.
The CPS stated this when she played host to the Forum of the Media Aides at the press gallery in government house, Minna.

The Governor’s spokesperson explained that the synergy would provide a common ground for them to address issues concerning their responsibilities and also help propagate government’s activities to all the nooks and crannies of the state among other things.

Berje said her office will ensure members of the Forum are trained to make them more effective and efficient in the discharge of their duties.
Chairman of the Forum, Abdulrahim Idris said their visit was to seek for collaboration with the office of the CPS in terms of information dissemination and other public relations activities for the growth and development of the State.
The Forum’s Chairman maintained that the collaboration will ensure that the people at the grass roots are well informed about the activities of the present administration being that members of the forum are drawn from the 25 Local Government Areas in the State.
He also requested for a training to be organized through the office of the CPS to further build their capacity and ability to serve better.
The Media Aides Forum is a forum of 25 members from each of the Local Government Area in the State, appointed by Local Government Chairmen to serve as their mouthpiece.
