As the year 2023 drawn to a close, the MD/Editor-in-Chief of Internet Safety Magazine, Rotimi Onadipe, reflected on the progress made by the organisation.
Onadipe, on Saturday, in his last cyber safety awareness broadcast for the year 2023, said;
“As this year 2023 comes to a close, It is my pleasure to reflect on some progress we have made so far in our mission to save internet users globally from online risks such as cyber crimes, online scams, smartphone addiction, online gaming addiction, pornography addiction, among others.
“By God’s grace, between April 2022 and December 2023, we held eighty-nine educative programs on online safety awareness and they were published in print and online media. We were able to counsel and rehabilitate many victims of fraud, victims of social media and cyber criminals.
“We also reached out to some repentant cyber criminals, counselled and encouraged them so that they will not return to their criminal and fraudulent practices. All these achievements were made possible through those who believed in our initiative and supported us.
“Firstly, I thank the Almighty God for the grace he has given to us as a team at Internet Safety Magazine, to embark on this great project despite the challenges surrounding it. Truly, God has been faithful to us in this project and we return all glory to him.
“I want to specially acknowledge the efforts of my wife, Prophetess Gbemisola Onadipe, for her sleepless nights, praying fervently for the success of this project and encouraging me not to give up. May God continue to strengthen her, increase His Grace and Anointing upon her life in Jesus name Amen.
“I also want to appreciate all our media partners, donors, followers and beneficiaries of our project. You all mean so much to us and I can boldly say we couldn’t have made this progress without your support. We are very grateful and our prayer is that God will continue to bless you in all aspects of your lives in Jesus name Amen.
“By God’s special grace, we are looking forward to maintaining a strong working relationship with all of you in the coming year. Thank you all for your continued support and trust in our organisation as a place for lasting solution to online risks,” the internet safety expert added.
