Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Central Mosque, Ibadan has expressed profound grief over the passing of Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello, a revered Islamic scholar and staunch supporter of the mosque’s mission. His death, which occurred on the morning of Friday, December 6, 2024, has left the Muslim community in deep mourning.
In a heartfelt statement, Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade, Chairman of the Mosque Management Committee, described Sheikh Bello’s death as an irreplaceable loss. He praised the late cleric’s unwavering loyalty to the legacy of the late Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi, the former Governor of Oyo State, whom Sheikh Bello honored annually through the Ajimobi Memorial Ramadan Lecture.
Siyanbade said “Baba Muhyideen Bello was an epitome of loyalty and commitment.
“He remained steadfast in honoring Governor Ajimobi, ensuring the first day of Ramadan was dedicated to his memory since 2021.”
The mosque joined the Muslim community in praying for Allah to grant Sheikh Muhyideen Bello eternal rest in Jannat-ul-Firdaws and to provide strength to his family and the broader community.
