Edo State Governor-Elect Monday Okpebholo has approved the appointment of Fred Itua as Chief Press Secretary ahead of Tuesday’s assumption of office.
Itua’s appointment which will take effect on November 12, 2024, mark the first official designation of the incoming administration.
Itua, a distinguished journalist with extensive experience, previously served as the Assistant Political Editor at The Sun newspaper.
As an accomplished writer, journalist, and media and communications consultant with over 13 years of experience, Fred is recognized for expertise in covering diverse and critical issues, from humanitarian crises to national governance.
Anchoring Inside The Red Chamber, an online television program, and co-hosting the radio show Bottom Line, Itua brought a dynamic presence and a well-rounded understanding of media to every role.
