MMPN Congratulates Hassan Taiwo Fajimite on Emergence as MULAN President, Seeks Stronger Collaboration

The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) has congratulated Barrister Hassan Taiwo Fajimite on his election as the President of the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN), describing his emergence as a reflection of the confidence reposed in his leadership, integrity, and professional competence.

In a statement issued on Monday and signed by its National President, Alhaji Abdur-Rahman Balogun, MMPN said Fajimite’s wealth of experience and exemplary record of service have adequately prepared him for the important responsibility of leading the association.

The media body expressed confidence that under Fajimite’s leadership, MULAN would continue to strengthen its role in promoting the rule of law, safeguarding fundamental human rights, advancing legal scholarship, and contributing to national development and peaceful coexistence.

MMPN also noted that it expects the association to remain a beacon of legal excellence by promoting fairness, justice, and unity among legal practitioners across Nigeria.

The association, however, urged the new MULAN President to prioritise the empowerment of young lawyers, protect the rights of the Muslim community, and strengthen collaboration between MULAN and other professional bodies.

It further pledged its support towards ensuring adequate publicity for the activities and programmes of MULAN under the new leadership, while expressing readiness to deepen collaboration in promoting justice, combating misinformation, protecting the rights of Nigerians, and projecting the true image of Islam through lawful advocacy and responsible public engagement.

MMPN also commended the outgoing leadership of MULAN for its contributions to the growth and consolidation of the association and expressed optimism that the new administration would build on those achievements.

The association prayed that Almighty Allah grant Barrister Fajimite and members of his executive committee wisdom, strength, sound judgment, good health, and success in steering MULAN towards greater accomplishments for the benefit of the legal profession and the nation.
