The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) Abuja Chapter has condoled with the Kutunku Muslim Ummah in Gwagwalada, Abuja, following the sudden death of AbdulRasheed Usman, who reportedly slumped and died while breaking his Ramadan fast on Monday, 3rd Ramadan.
MURIC Abuja Chapter, in a statement jointly signed by Ustaz Yunus Salahudeen, Chairman and Lukman Laleye Babalola PRO,expressed deep sorrow over the incident, described it as a painful loss to the Muslim community. He prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and strengthen his family in this trying time.
In light of the ongoing high temperatures across the Federal Capital Territory, MURIC Abuja Chapter advised the Muslim faithful to observe their fast with caution to avoid health complications.
The group offered valuable health tips, including staying hydrated, eating hydrating fruits, and avoiding direct exposure to the sun during peak hours.
MURIC also emphasized the importance of modest dressing, regular hygiene practices, and seeking medical attention if symptoms of dehydration such as dizziness, headaches, or nausea arise.
Furthermore, the chapter urged mosques to provide soap and clean water in their facilities to promote hygiene during the holy month.
The statement concluded with prayers for Allah to accept the fasting and prayers of all Muslims during Ramadan, while urging residents to prioritize both their spiritual devotion and personal health.
