Niger Police announce commencement of 2nd phase of NHIS enrolment for retired police officers

Niger State Police Command wishes to inform all retired Police Officers in the State who were not captured in the first phase of the registration and capturing for all retired Police Officers into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) that the second phase of the registration will commence on Monday 22nd March, 2021 – Thursday 25th March, 2021.
This enrolment is scheduled to take place in all Police Area Commands within the State and all retired Police Officers with a spouse, who were not captured during the first phase of the exercise, are enjoined to visit the nearest Police Area Command with the following items:
-Letter of Retirement, and
-Retiree’s I.D card.
The exercise is aimed at ensuring that no retired Police Officer, including his/her spouse is left out from having full access to all NHIS services and benefits covered by the Police Health Maintenance Organization (Police-HMO) code-073 which is absolutely free without any form of deduction from retirees’ monthly pension.
Consequently, the Commissioner of Police Niger State Command CP Adamu Usman enjoined all retired Police Officers who are yet to be captured to key into this IGP’s giant stride by taking optimum advantage of this second phase of the exercise which will avail them with affordable health care services in retirement.
