NPC DG Dan’Agundi Flags Off 4-Day Capacity Building Programme for Research Officers

In a strategic move to enhance staff efficiency and productivity, the Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi, has declared open a four-day capacity-building programme for research officers. The training aims to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and competencies in utilizing productivity tools and techniques.

 

The programme, which commenced on March 17, 2025, at the Anti-Corruption Academy in Keffi, is themed “Basic Productivity Improvement Tools and Techniques.”

 

While declaring the training open, Dr. Dan’Agundi reaffirmed the NPC’s commitment to driving the national productivity movement, monitoring trends, and enhancing human capacity. He emphasized that investing in staff development is key to improving the quality of goods and services in Nigeria.

 

“The NPC remains dedicated to equipping its workforce with essential skills to drive productivity and national development. This training is part of our continuous efforts to build a competent and highly skilled workforce,” he stated.

 

The four-day programme features intensive sessions, expert-led discussions, and syndicate group engagements on various productivity improvement tools and techniques.

 

The NPC has consistently championed productivity growth through specialized training programmes, research, and advocacy, particularly in the deployment of productivity tools in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

 

By prioritizing capacity development, the NPC aimed to empower its staff with the expertise needed to foster sustainable productivity and economic growth across Nigeria.
