Corps Members had been advised to respect the NYSC bye-laws, Oath of Allegiance, National Anthem and other statutory laws during their service year.
The NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Shuaibu lbrahim gave this advise during his Orientation Camp tour to Benue and Taraba States Orientation Camps while addressing the 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members.
In his address, the DG admonished them to shun all forms of indiscipline and corrupt practices adding that Corps Members are National assets that should serve as responsible role models.
General Ibrahim warned the youths against being susceptible to any form of bribery, added that both the giver and receiver were guilty of the same offence.
The NYSC boss also advised female Corps Members to honour themselves and not throw away their dignity of womanhood for common gratifications.
The NYSC helmsman urged them to embrace Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme of the NYSC which was designed to make them employers of labour and not job seekers.
During the visit, General Ibrahim had an interactive session with the camp officials where he encouraged them to regard Corps Members as their own children and treat them kindly.
Earlier, the NYSC boss had inspected facilities on camp such as the toilets, kitchen, clinic and hostels in order to ensure that they are effectively deployed for Corps Members’ use.
