NYSC DG Urges Corps Members To Embrace Entrepreneurship

The Director-General of National Youth Service Corps NYSC,Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has advised
corps members to maximize the opportunities provided by NYSC’s Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme to become wealth creators and employers of labour.

The Director General gave this advise in his address to 2019 Batch “B” Stream One Corps Members deployed to Enugu State at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Awgu.

He enjoined the Corps Members to participate in the in-camp and post-camp training of the SAED programme which would enhance the perfection of their skills.

Ibrahim added that NYSC Management has partnered the Bank of Industry, Central Bank of Nigeria and other Institutions to grant loans to Corps Members that present good business proposals.

Speaking further, the DG enjoined the Corps Members to study the contents of the National Anthem, NYSC Act and Oath of Allegiance they swore to and uphold their tenets.

“Youths are the engine of growth of any country and it is ideas that brings money. Take advantage of Skills Acquisition, and remain focused, be disciplined and with the knowledge of whatever you studied, the sky is your limit”.

“Avoid cultism, drugs and crimes. Be patriotic to your country and let you names be written in gold for food things wherever you find yourselves”, the DG stated.

The NYSC boss also commended the Corps Members for adapting to the challenges of Orientation Camp.
